Mather : Fatima binte Asad

Date of Birth : On Friday , 13 Rajab

Place of Birth : Inside the Holy Ka`ba , Mecca

Title : Amir Al Momeneen, Mortada , Waliy Ul llah , Heydar, Asadullah.

Agnomen : Abul-Hasan , Abu Torab.

Period of Khilafat : (36-40)AH ,(4 years and 9 month )

Period of Imamat : 30 years.

Date of Martyrdom : Martyred at the age of 63,21th Ramadan 40AH: Wound by Ibn Muljam`s poison –coated sword .

His Holy shrine is in Najaf Ashraf.

Features

Imam Ali was the most eloquent speaker and orator .In spite of cursing him ,his enemies memorized his words to speak fluent.

The collection of his sermons, sayings and letters are contained in the book Nahjulbalaghah.

Between Muslims l ,mystical position ,knowledge ,bravery ,justice ,simple lifestyle, helping poor people are praised .

Some Christians like George Jordac praises Imam Ali in his book The voice of Human justice and says ”He martyred in alter because of his justice .”

George Jordac have read Nahjulbalaghah 200 times and he said he would find new points if he read again.

Attractions and repulsion of Imam Ali

People who believe in religion or school ,indeed ,they are interested in the most remarkable abd greatest person of it.

Because he is the shining example and reflects the training of that religion and school.

The kindness and attraction of him grows if they can find spiritual excellence and unlimited self-sacrifice in whom resist in every occurrence and battle and saves the life of religion or school by devoting and sacrificing himself.

He is the most popular in their views . If some groups of people are against the religion or school and don`t accept its training ,they will be inimical toward him and stonewall more.

Probably, throughout the bygone centuries ,we can`t find the attraction and repulsion like Ali`s.

He has unique , old ,selfless ,generous friends that they are proud of sacrificing themselves in his way .

Also they go whole hog in their friendship.

Ali(a.s) also has sworn enemies whom are afraid of his name.

As an individual Ali has gone but as a school he perpetuates .He attracts a group of people and excludes the other.

Yes ,Ali is the personality with two faculties.

Sermon 5

O People

Steer clear through the waves of mischief by boats of deliverance, turn away from the path of dissension and put off the crowns of pride. Prosperous is one who rises with wings (i.e. when he has power) or else he remains peaceful and others enjoy ease. It (i.e. the aspiration for Caliphate) is like turbid water or like a morsel that would suffocate the person who swallows it. One who plucks fruits before ripening is like one who cultivated in another’s field. a
If I speak out they would call me greedy towards power but if I keep quiet they would say I was afraid of death. It is a pity that after all the ups and downs (I have been through). By Allah, the son of Abu Talib is more familiar with death than an infant with the breast of its mother. I have hidden knowledge, if I disclose it you will start trembling like ropes in deep wells. Imam`s words after being aware that Enemies entered to the Al-Anbar city because of negligence of city keepers. a
I have come to know that every one of them entered upon Muslim women and other women under protection of Islam and took away their ornaments from legs, arms, necks and ears and no woman could resist it except by pronouncing the verse,Then they got back laden with wealth without any wound or loss of life. If any Muslim dies of grief after all this he is not to be blamed but rather there is justification for him before me
